After graduating from Dominican University with a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising and Minors in Business Administration, Corporate Communication, and Apparel Design, I was determined to find my own way. An internship turned into a full-time opportunity, and I worked for Nordstrom as a visual merchandiser. Around the time I was promoted to manager, my father transitioned his photography studio from film to digital format. I was offered the chance to join the family business.
Fast forward to the present, and the decision to leave retail in pursuit of the digital realm worked out quite well. Photography not only provides the flexibility I need as a mom nowadays, but also the creative outlet I crave. Since 2005, I’ve captured several special occasions, portrait sessions, and designed just as many albums. Following the birth of my daughter in 2011, I branched off on my own while still remaining actively involved in my father's business. To this day, I am blessed to have him as my mentor (and babysitter).
I’m am extremely grateful to have a husband who continues to support my efforts in photography…even after we welcomed our second child. I’m excited to see where life continues to take me. In the mean time, I plan to keep clicking away!
